Most cacti live in habitats subject to at least some drought. Many live in extremely dry environments, even being found in the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on earth. Cacti are succulents, which means that, not only have they evolved to lose as little water as possible in extreme heat and drought by having a thick skin and spines that shade and trap respiration, they can also store water.

Cacti are flowering plants, so every kind of cactus is capable of blooming when it is mature. Whether or not an individual cactus plant blooms depends on its age and the care it gets. Some cacti don't bloom until they are more than 30 years old. Others won't bloom, even if they are old enough, unless they get proper light conditions, watering and fertilization.

Our Cactus In Bloom flowers in perpetuity. A sparkling Swarovski crystal is surrounded by equally glittery Gekko beads to form a blossom sitting atop a caged paper mache bead. Cubic Right Angle Weave tubes form the spines of our cacti. These spines taper to a point ending with a beautiful crystal pearl.

In botany, blossom is a term given to the flowers of stone fruit trees and of some other plants with a similar appearance that flower profusely for a period of time in spring. That is exactly what these are. Little blossoms of sparkly crystal centres and fire polished petals. Unlike a real blossom, these blossoms flower all year round and never fade.

Each blossom is then joined to each other using linking rings with a seamless joins to form an undulating chain of profuse blossoms.

The entire parure consists of a bracelet, earrings, pendant and necklace. Make a pair of earrings. Make a bracelet. Make them all. They are guaranteed to bring a smile for an everlasting spring.

A luminous Lunasoft cabochon is bezelled and surrounded by little Pellets. Little "petals" of O-beads surround each Pellet to showcase the beautiful cabochon. The pendant is then hung from a rope of Pellets and O's.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is made in 2 parts. First the peyote star is made. When the star is completed, we will bezel a chaton for the centre and embellish the arms of the star. We will also build a loop at the tip of one of the arms so that you can hang the star on your tree. Before you start, it would be a good idea for you to read all the instructions once through so that you will understand the sequence of what you will need to do.
