Sognando Positano
DESCRIPTION
Ever since I can remember the beautiful Amalfi Coast held a special fascination for me. To a young teenager, the beautiful coastal towns of the Amalfi Coast is one of the most romantic places on earth. Famous for its spectacular setting, the commune of Positano is built almost vertically against the dramatic cliffs of Southern Italy on one side and the visual feast of azure waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Salerno on the other. It is against this spectacular setting that I dream of Positano.
Sognando Positano is an Etruscan style necklace. This style typically refers to 19th-century jewelry with design influences from Etrurian jewelry dating circa 7th to 3rd centuries BC. The jewelry is noted for granulation and applied filigree. Hollow flowering bulbs bookends the highly textured pendant. The unusual horizontally hung pendant is suspended from an equally textured strap that is reminiscent of a rope of gold.
