La Collana Dei Medici
  • DESCRIPTION

The House of Medici came into power in 16th century Florence through its influence in politics, banking and the Church. The Medici produced 4 Popes but nowhere is the influence of this powerful family more visible and lasting than in Florentine Renaissance art. Patrons to the likes of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci among others, the Famiglia de' Medici has left us a legacy that transcends time and trends.

La Collana Dei Medici pays homage to this powerful family. A cross shaped central pendant seems to float between a collar of lace. Over a hundred glittering crystals twinkle from a network of precious metal plated beads. Suspended between this network of lace, an exquisitely embellished cross shaped pendant is showcased. To exemplify the elegance and sophistication of Florentine Renaissance art, a single unadorned focal drop hangs from base of the pendant – its lone beauty on display for all to admire.

A collier regal in its beauty, sophisticated in its heritage and exquisite in its construction. La Collana Dei Medici – a tribute to a noble family’s legacy to art.
